Sierra Front Recreation Coalition: Mission: To promote, develop and provide access to world-class outdoor recreation opportunities and resource stewardship to meet the increasing demand and diverse interests of the growing visitor and local populations along the Central Sierra Front. Tahoe Rim Trail Association: The Tahoe Rim Trail Association is a volunteer, non-profit 501(C)(3) organization established in 1981 to plan, construct, and maintain the Tahoe Rim Trail. This 165-mile, twenty-four inch, single-track trail is open to hiking, equestrians, and mountain biking (in most areas). The trail encompasses the ridge tops of the Lake Tahoe Basin, crossing six counties, and two states. Truckee Meadows Trail Association: Members of the Truckee Meadows Trails Association believe trails are a key component of a successful quality of life. Our goal is to create, restore, and preserve a network of multi-use trails throughout Reno, Sparks, and surrounding Washoe County region. We are committed to fostering the stewardship of our public lands by actively participating in the planning, use, construction, and maintenance of public trails and their environment. Carson Valley Trails Association: The mission of the Carson Valley Trails Association is to obtain legal access to existing trails and property owned by BLM and National Forest for the local community for hiking, mountain biking and equestrian uses. The River Mountains Trail: Planning for the River Mountains Trail began back in 1996, when a group of community interests, individuals and agencies came together to discuss trails and local needs. This group now known as the River Mountains Trail Partnership shared a common goal-expanding trail opportunities southeast of Las Vegas to increase close to home recreational opportunities for the benefit of local residents as well as visitors to our fine state. john.holman@swgas.com, 702.365.2191.

Donner Lake Rim Trail / Truckee Donner Land Trust: The Donner Lake Rim Trail, a project of the Truckee Donner Land Trust, is almost entirely an all-volunteer effort to build a trail encircling the peaks around Donner Lake. Hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians can enjoy the stunning views of the Lake, Mount Rose and the Pacific Crest from the trail, which will be 23-miles when complete. In the recent Town of Truckee General Plan Update residents made it clear that our community’s trails and recreational opportunities are some of the key economic and cultural assets of our region.

Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway: The Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway is a vision of following the Truckee River by foot or by bicycle from its source at forested Lake Tahoe to its desert terminus, Pyramid Lake. Snowlands Network: The mission of Snowlands Network is to promote opportunities for quality human-powered winter recreation, protect winter wildlands, and educate the public and government agencies about winter recreation and environmental issues. PO Box 2570, Nevada City CA 95959, 530-265-6424.
