Pre-Approved Field Trip Destinations
The following field trip destinations are pre-approved for the field trip grant program.
Other destinations may be approved on a case-by-case basis. The list below is not intended to discourage you from considering other destinations, from visiting natural areas for learning activities that you plan yourself, and from completing service learning projects in the community and natural environment. Rather, it is intended to speed approval for destinations whose educational value has already been demonstrated by other teachers and/or by the professional education staff at the destination. The key criteria is the educational value of the field trip, not the particular destination. Please see information on other field trip destinations for western, southern, and rural Nevada.
Recreational field trips are not funded, even if they occur at one of the listed locations.
To request a review of another destination, please contact Dan Allison, , 775-882-2375, with as much information as your have available.
No destinations outside of Nevada are pre-approved, however, that is not an indication that a field trip out-of-state would not be approved.
