Workshops for Teachers and Other Educators
NNREC offers River of Words workshops to teachers and other educators. Two formats are available, a 2.5 hour after-school workshop, and a 7.5 hour weekend workshop (with NDE inservice credit). No workshops are presently scheduled. If you would like to arrange a workshop for your school, email .

General Information
NNREC is the River of Words host for Nevada, and Dan Allison is the River of Words coordinator. The deadline for the international art and poetry contest is February 15 of every year. Copies of the inspirational book, River of Words: Images & Poetry in Praise of Water, as well as the ROW Watershed Explorer curriculum, can be borrowed by classroom teachers, school librarians, and childrens librarians. The materials can be borrowed for about three weeks. We pay postage to you, you pay postage back to us. If you want to borrow, email , specifying the month you wish to borrow for. The materials will be mailed to you on about the fifth of the month, and you will mail the materials back on the last day of the month.
