Please download and share the flier!

Note: This workshop has been postponed due to low enrollment. Stay tuned for a new date.

The PLT Educator Workshop is designed for classroom teachers, and for all nonformal educators from agencies, organizations and businesses, as well as interested individuals. Pre-service teachers are strongly encouraged to attend. Students in grades 6-12 may attend, with appropriate supervision.

This workshop will focus on Tahoe basin forest management and fire issues. A draft workshop syllabus is available.

If you have taken a SWEP or NNREC workshop and have a notebook (either three ring binder or composition book) that you received at the workshop, please bring it with you to this PLT workshop. If you don't have a notebook, we will provide a composition book for you.

Additional after-school workshops and day-long workshops in the Lake Tahoe Basin will be available to complement this day-long PLT workshop. As soon as these are designed, information will be posted on the SWEP Professional Development area.

Registration

Registration is now open for educators in the Lake Tahoe Basin, with online or mail payment. Registration will be open for educators outside the basin starting September 5. The registration fee is $20, which includes lunch, either the PreK-8 guide or two forest-related secondary guides, other instructional materials, and facilitation.
