Conferences: The surrounding states (California, Arizona, Utah, Idaho and Oregon) have statewide environmental education conferences nearly every year. These are great professional development opportunities, particularly in years in which Nevada does not host a statewide conference. The North American Association for Environmental Education offers a national conference every year in rotating regions of north America.
Forestry Institute for Teachers (FIT), Manton, Quincy or Arcata CA. Though this workshop is for California teachers, Nevada teachers may be able to attend on a space-available basis.
