Who: teachers interested in the historical resources of the Great Basin; the workshop is designed for grade 6-12 teachers but is open to other grades and to nonformal educators
What: a 40-hour professional development field studies workshop presented by experts in historical resources
When: July 20-25, 2008 (Sun-Fri)
Where: Camp Success near Ely, Spring Valley, Bald Mountain Mine, Newark Valley, and other field locations
Why: learn from field experts
Credit: two Nevada or Utah inservice credits (free), or undergraduate/graduate credit from Utah State University (fee)
How much: $170 (includes education materials, all meals, and housing)

Though any and all details may change, you can get an idea of the GBTW program by looking at archives for 2006 and 2005. GBTW does a three-year rotation of topics, the Biological Great Basin: Life in the Great Basin, the Historical Great Basin, and the Physical Great Basin: Rock, Fire and Water.
