The Great Basin Teachers Workshop (GBTW) is a fascinating way to learn about the amazing and unique biological resources of the Great Basin Region. Spend five days in northeastern Nevada and Great Basin National Park, learning about the region’s plants and wildlife from the experts. Most of our time will be in the field and hands-on (bring your hiking shoes!). The workshop is designed for grade 6-12 teachers, but open to other grade levels and to nonformal educators. Agenda.

GBTW is a program sponsored by the USDA Forest Service, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, the Bureau of Land Management, and the National Park Service, Great Basin National Park. NNREC is also a sponsor.

Credit: Workshop participants may receive either two inservice credits from Nevada or Utah, or two graduate from Utah State University at an additional fee.

The registration fee includes tuition, meals and camping. Download and print the registration form.
