Responsive Classroom books

A new page has been added on books from Responsive Classroom / Northeast Foundation for Children. The NNREC Members Lending Library has five of the titles. Responsive Classroom is probably the best single model for creating caring and academically successful classrooms.

Nevada at the NAAEE Conference

Seven people from Nevada attended the North American Association for Environmental Education international conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Jonathan Mueller of Sierra Nevada Journeys (and NNREC board member) and Milton Neuenschwander of Nevada Outdoor School attended the Affiliate Workshop which develops knowledge and skills for expanding the capacity of state affiliate organizations to offer EE. The workshop was planned and hosted by Stephanie Lefevre of Nevada Outdoor School (and NNREC board member) and NNREC Executive Director Dan Allison.

Three other members of Nevada Outdoor School attended the conference: Ellen Kunz, Matthew Hayes, and Abby Penny.

Seven people is the best attendance we've had at an NAAEE conference in a long time, if ever. We hope that you will join us next year in Wichita, Kansas, or 2009 in Portland.
