Chris Miller: Chris has served NNREC for 16 years as a board member, project leader and workshop facilitator in both western and southern Nevada. The last serveral years she has coordinated the High Sierra Resource Workshop. She was the driving force in the formation of FORRC (Friend of Red Rock Canyon). Chris will be continuing with the Bureau of Land Managment in Billings, Montana.

Craig Rock: Craig served NNREC for several years as Treasurer, was very active in service-learning projects throughout western Nevada, and was a teacher at Virginia City Middle School. Craig has retired to California.

Phyllis Atkinson (Lipka): Science teacher at Carson MS in Carson City, a long-time NNREC member and leader, active in watershed education on the Carson River, and facilitator for the High Sierra Resource Workshop.

John Roos: NNREC member and board member, former 4-H educator, and environmental education activitist in South Lake Tahoe.

Sarah Tone: Director of the WasteNot program of the Incline Village GID, and board member of Environmental Leadership and Washoe-Storey Conseration District, and friend of nearly all the environmental educators in western Nevada and the Lake Tahoe basin.

Petrina McCarty-Puhl: Science teacher at McQueen HS in Reno, winner of the 2001 Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching for Nevada, has extended environmental science curriculum at the district level and in her school, sponsored the EnviroThon team representing Nevada in 2002, and is recognized by her students as highly committed to excellence.
